Welcome to the MoTIS HOVER JET PROGRAM. My name is Linda and I am the new MoTIS spokes woman and virtual test pilot and I will be explaining what the HJTP Program is all about over the next few weeks as MoTIS Virtual engineers show you some of the most fantastic neo concept aircraft on the planet in the area of next generation aircraft of the future! We will take our time and lay the foundation for something that is truly amazing in real world and virtual flying over the coming  months and coming years as MoTIS lays down the better part of what has been an exciting mission to say the least! You will see me in many areas of the MoTIS company web site and I will have hint sections to help explain certain happenings that might need explanation as the rich content available at our website is a must  in order to explain the full extent of our mission as to not leave even one item to anyone's assumptions.   This program is all about the total design of a very unique kind of flying experience, the VTOL experience  and we will cover and show case every thing that flies vertical with the use of our special neo concept designed hover ducted engine systems!!. The Hover Jet physics program is all about the art of vertical flight. The HJ program has been designed to act as a dynamic virtual test laboratory for Engine Point Thrust studies.

THE MoTIS HOVER STAR 1 is the third project in a 10 project program that has been designed to create a very unique aircraft indeed! the HS1 was designed out of the need to build a fast , high visibility, VTOL hybrid aircraft that could fly at near super sonic air speeds and handle like a small fighter aircraft , that could be multi-plateformed , carry weapons and takeoff and land in small and remote areas.

The aircraft has primarily been designed to fill a military role but two civilian prototype has been constructed. This aircraft was designed and developed by Otis Watson in mid 2002 to function as a primary troop extraction aircraft and medevac platform.

The HS1 is designed to fly into all weather conditions but with cockpit bubble casing while giving one a great panoramic view may freak some pilots out whole flying a brisk mach 0.88 with so much environment flying by! This aircraft while have the ability to take off and land via VTOL maneuvers will consume moderate fuel loads when in VTOL configuration and using the VTOL mood serious limits the range of the HS1. The aircraft is designed with swept back wings and forward swept canards so as to take advantage of the performance gains that the HS 1 needs in order to get up to a reasonable cruise speed so as to increase the cruising performance of the aircraft and make up for the large fuel requirements needed at VTOL take off and landing.

The aircraft will seat 6-8 passengers with the pilot included and the high visibility cockpit can be reduced to fit the need of the mission at hand by replacing the bubble cockpit contact points with fuselage replacement panels!

The aircraft is designed to be operated by a single pilot but a dual controlled flight system is available on the trainer versions of the HS1

The aircraft is fitted with a special MoTIS designed inline hover jet Multi-ducted Engine Distribution System( MEDS). The MEDS engine is classified at this time.

This aircraft has been nick named the Float Master or Floaty by the test pilots and that is a proper title for this type of vector thrust distributed aircraft!
